Ok so I know I wrote Nore was next but just one more character lol! I forgot about one more storyline I was going to discuss before going back to Nore

Chapter - Yonri

"Emperor Gaston is gone, may haps he has abandoned us."

"How dare you Rikarn!" Yonri exclaimed. He had never liked Geoffren Bal'Rikarn much.

Yonri Bal'Lanark had known Gaston since he was a lad. Gaston had appointed him Chairman of the Small Council, to deal in all matters of the Emperor and to be acting Emperor during times when Gaston himself was away from the capital of Dalmasra. Now the Small Council convened here in Yonkori, by order of the Chantry, to deal with this… matter.

"I suppose next you will blame my son Edrion for losing his majesty. Gaston would never abandon us. "

"Do not be ridiculous Yonri."

"Olliana, surely you must -"

"Do not forget yourself Yonri," Geoffren cut him off.

"Sorry… Your Majesty , surely you must see that Gaston would not do such a thing.

Olliana Bal'Neiscan was the eldest and only daughter of House Rikarn. Sister to Geoffren Bal'Rikarn who was now the Neyrn of House Rikarn, she had married Gaston before the coming, an arrangement brokered by her father. If her only child, Ashelia, is crowned Empress, she will become the dowager Empress.

"I … do not know Yonri, you knew my husband longer than I," Olliana replied.

"My Neyrn Chairman, please sit back down, this is not the time for arguments," Grand Chanter Onirias requested.

Yonri had stood without realising, anger overtaking him. He would not sit here and listen to Geoffren slander Gaston's name.

"One thing is certain," Geoffren began, "We cannot let matters remain as they stand."

"Yes, the Chantry is in agreement." Onirias nodded.

"Your Eminence, is there no word from the Judicars searching for His Majesty?" A young chanter asked Onirias.

"No Brother Jirard, not as of yet. As it stands we must decide what we are to do."

"There is but one choice, we must maintain order and crown Gaston's heir, Ashelia." Geoffren exclaimed.

Several of the Neyrns attending nodded in agreement.

"By Neisacan law, the title does go to his eldest child, male or female," Onirias seemed like he agreed as well.

"Surely you jest! Gaston has not been gone more than a fortnight. And I suppose you are to be Regent?" Yonri exclaimed.

"My brother would be a suitable candidate," Olliana began, "He is Ashelia's uncle after all."

Yonri was outnumbered. He looked around the Small Council, half of the Neyrns stood silent, the other half were in Rikarn's pocket he knew.

"Very well, it is decided, we will hold a coronation the week after next and crown Ashelia, first of her name, Empress of Neisacan, Queen of the First Men and Chosen of the Maker, Falhurah." Onirias effectively ended the meeting.

Yonri grabbed his cloak, a large amethyst clasp fastened to its shoulder. As he left, he saw a look of smug satisfaction on Geoffren's face. Yonri slammed the door on his way out.

When he returned to his chambers, he saw his son Edrion had been waiting for him.

"What news father?"

"The Small Council has decided to crown Ashelia."

"Surely you just, she is yet a babe."

"Geoffren means to take the Regency. Edrion, I need you and your sister to leave the castle and return back to House Lanark."

"But why father?"

There was a sudden knock at the door.

"Come in," Yonri answered.

It was the Chanter from before, Jirard was his name.

"What can we do for you Brother?"

"Your Grace, may we speak in private a moment?"

"Certainly, Edrion go look for your sister."

Next chapter - Nore, this time no joke!
